The most common stumbling blocks, and how to solve them.
The Connector is not connecting
Make sure you have entered exactly as the connector URL: https://highclicks.de/mcp A Highclicks login briefly opens for confirmation when connecting; do not close it early. If that does not help, remove the Connector and add it again.
New features do not appear in Claude
Claude caches the tool list when connecting. When we ship new features, disconnect the Connector once and reconnect it, and the new tools will be there.
"No ad account found"
Your connected login does not yet have a usable ad account, or platform authorization is still pending. Check under Accounts that the right account is connected, then ask: "Which ad accounts do I have?"
TikTok: "Post code is incorrect" (error 40002)
The Spark Code is invalid or expired, or a share link was passed instead of the code. Important: the code must be passed exactly as TikTok displays it (including the leading #). Solution: fetch a fresh code from the video's ad settings. Step-by-step instructions at TikTok.
Quota exhausted: what still works?
Everything except creating new ads: viewing campaigns, changing budgets, pausing/activating, targeting, reports. Your running campaigns continue unaffected. New quota arrives in the next billing period or after an upgrade, see Plans.
My change is not happening for real
For safety, write actions initially run as a safety simulation (preview) depending on configuration. Once your account is switched to live mode, changes execute for real. Ask "What is my status?" to see whether simulation mode is active.
My new campaign is paused. Is that a bug?
No, that is intentional: every new campaign starts paused so you can review it before budget flows. Just say "Set the campaign live" when everything looks good.
Can I use multiple ad accounts?
Yes, depending on your plan: Free/Plus 1, Pro 2, Max 5 active ad accounts per platform. Say "Use ad account X" to switch or select. The first account chosen is the primary one; new campaigns start there.
Does this work without Claude?
Yes. Highclicks Ads is a standard MCP server. Any MCP-capable client can use it, via OAuth or a manual token. Setup guides at Claude & Clients.
How do I disconnect Highclicks from my ad account?
Disconnect in the app under Accounts or revoke app access directly on the platform. More at Security & Data.
